I totally agree. I have always been awed by the pictures of Mars. It has always been my favorite planet, and I have waited as several of the past Mars missions have been made, traveled seven months to the Red Planet, then made the atmospheric entry, or aerobraking. It is well worth waiting for and anyone who does not appreciate the incredible data and pictures we have from Mars, is missing out. We have come soo far, from the ancient astronomers, who could only make out a small red disk. We can see clouds, canyons, water ice, polar caps, carbon dioxide snow, volcanoes, dust devils, deserts, dust storms, a red sky that is blue at night, and so much more. It is amazing and I am forever grateful to all the people who not only support this, but who make it possible.

I agree with you 100% - we are SO fortunate to get to see these pictures. The Cassini spacecraft orbitting Saturn is returning unbelievable images as well.

I for one love this kinda thing.

Its cool, those pictures..

If I could have given an ancient astronomer an up close picture of mars... he would have peed his pants...

If I could have given Columbus a world globe... he would have treasured it as priceless...

So, yes I do appriciate the total awsomeness of space, and all its beauty.

I have an altlas of the universe that has hundreds of pictures of outerspace... its truly amazing.

Hmm. Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Forbidden Planet are both from that year (1956) but they don’t feature a flying saucer.
Well...

By the way, Nick, now that I've seen the original, I like the way you incorporated the planet into the A in AGEBOC.

EDIT: I've never seen the film, but the Wikipedia page shows a still from the movie with the spaceship.]]>

Make money having it illegal? Are you kidding? I live in New Zealand, and the government here spends 120 million dollars a year controlling marijuana. If they legalized it, they could make millions making it available over the counter, and it would be taxable.
