Question by s7e7v7e7n7: Do we expect an alien to be all brains and no skull?
No bones but having a body without human organs. No eyes to see as we see through. The reason I have asked this question is to make some sense of the cloud photograph in which something appears to be celestial.

If you’re really interested in this, read the references. Advanced human intelligence will likely involve computers, or be nearly all computers. Regarding the biological part, if they are from our universe, with our physical laws, their chemical and biological processes are probably the same as ours. The only reason for any existing human biological function to atrophy is if it isn’t used. Vision is an extremely powerful sense, so the only reason it wouldn’t have eyes would be if they developed a superior bionic alternative (or if their environment had no ambient light). The brain still requires fuel, oxygen, and removal of waste, so the body will have a full complement of metabolic organs (or technological counterparts). The bones provide structural strength and protection. It’s a really good system, so bones would likely be used unless some alternative had developed. Look around the animal kingdom. It might be mostly cartilage (like dolphins) or an exoskeleton. In a marine environment, it could be completely absent (like jellyfish).
