i dont konw. i am a believer. i have seen old paintings in which modern day ufos are depicted . how do poeple explain them.

Any way they can: Fake. Coincidence. Some people just state that those paintings/drawings don’t exist and leave it at that.
Seeing isn’t always believing. People only believe what they want to believe.

maybe it was some mistake they made, or some strangle light was around, or they happen to see something like that in their dreams.

Anything in the sky that is “unidentifiable” is considered a “UFO”. It does not mean alien.
Second
Story telling has been around since mankind. So in theory, stories are going to be apart of artwork as well. It doesn’t represent whether the artwork is true or false. Take in example of Roman pottery of Hercules fighting epic monsters or even Medieval Artwork of knights fighting dragons.
